My favorite way to hang up pieces of art with frames that have NO hanger on the back. You’ll want to save this one.
I can remember thrifting with my parents when I was a little girl, around age 6. I also remember inheriting a lot of art from a great aunt who painted with watercolors. My mom crafted, and also (like myself) had a love for Diet Coke. NOW what in the world do all of these things have in common? One thing: this amazing hack that I thought everyone knew, but apparently it’s not common according to the Instagram police. Are you ready?
Here is my simple and easy hack for how to hang art the easy way.
Literally. Break your tab off of your can and figure out where you need to place it on your frame for it to hold sturdy.
Apply a peanut sized amount of your hot glue onto the spot you want your tab to be. I like to let the glue sit for a few seconds before placing my tab so that it has a second to cool and isn’t as runny when I place my tab, forming around the tab instead of squishing out.
Place your tab onto the spot of glue, slightly angling your tab so that its not flat against the frame.

Once your tab is placed on the glue, allow it to dry for a minute or so. Once it is dry (after about 2-3 minutes), run a line over the top of where the glue and the tap meet, sealing the existing glue to the new glue, creating a hold enclosing the whole tab.
Give your tab about 4-5 minutes to dry, until you can give it a nice tug to make sure its not moving.
While you wait, get your hammer and nail and get them where you want them.
Hang your new art! You’ve been wanting and waiting to hang it, and now you can. Go for it friend. Pat yourself on the back and enjoy the view. Congratulations – you now know how to hang are the easy way.
