With my husband in school and us paying for everything out of pocket, we were stretched thin. I was overwhelmed. However, I was determined to find income opportunities to meet my family’s needs without sacrificing important quality time. 

Making money online did all that and more for our family. Now, I get to make money online doing something I love! I’ve also worked with dream brands, found freedom for my family, and supported my husband’s retirement. Making money online has changed our lives, and I know it can do the same for you.

Getting Started 

About a million and one Instagram gurus are selling courses on how to do what they do. But you won’t find that in mine. Why? Because I don’t want you to learn how to make money doing what I do. I want you to know how to make money doing what YOU love. If that’s flipping furniture, great! I can show you how. But if it’s not, I don’t want you to commit to something you’re not passionate about. That’s a recipe for burnout and resentment of what you’re doing. And you don’t want that.  

Follow the breadcrumbs of your passions in life so you can figure out what you’re good at and find your niche. Believe it or not, most skills to learn to make money online are from something other than a course. They’re what you’re already good at and what you already love doing. They’re part of your ikigai.  

What’s Your Ikigai?  

Don’t sweat if you’ve never heard of ikigai or an ikigai chart. I’ll give you a full breakdown of its origin in the course and a walk-through on building your ikigai chart. All you need to know for now is that the word ikigai translates to “your reason for being.”   

It’s your passions in life, yes, but also how those passions can fulfill all you want out of your life (i.e., income opportunities). That’s why a significant section of the course, Make Money Online, is about helping you fill out your ikigai chart so you can find the threads that connect your passions to a rewarding income.  

Building out your ikigai chart helps you think through the position you’ll take by identifying which hobbies need to stay hobbies and which interests can change your life.  

Building Your Audience 

After figuring out your niche, the next step is to build your audience. And before your inner critic starts to scream, I want to give you a heads-up. You don’t have to be on camera to do this. There’s a HUGE misconception that the only way to make money online is to become an influencer and show off your life by being the face of your business 24/7. But there are so many more opportunities at your disposal.  

While occasionally showing your face would be nice and helpful, the main objective you’ll be after is building community with your audience. That means giving them content that makes them want to learn and hear more from you. And when you create a content action plan for business (yeah, you’ve got a business!), this makes conquering that task, on your terms, ten times easier.  

Content Action Plan 

I know the moment I said “content action plan,” you probably thought of a whole new list of things to learn. But I promise, in my course, I walk you through every detail. You’ll learn what a content action plan is, the types of content to create, how niche is too niche, and how deep into the trenches of content creation you need to get.  

I share all this with you because I don’t want you to be blindsided by anything when you make this jump. Making money online can be the most successful thing you ever do, but it won’t be overnight. Discovering your ikigai is vital, but learning how to attract your audience and market to them will be equally important in ensuring the success of your business.  

Sourcing Your Income Streams 

Let’s get to the question you’re here to answer. How can YOU make money online? As I shared previously, influencing is just a drop in the bucket of income opportunities when making money online. There are so many avenues you can go down, and in my course, I cover them ALL.  

Because while you can make money online through brand partnerships, affiliate marketing, and more, choosing your avenue comes down to what you want for yourself. Remember, don’t make choices that feel unaligned and will burn you out in a matter of months.
