If you love brownies like I do, You. Need. This. Recipe. It is my #1 go to when I need a quick, gooey, chocolatey treat. It’s easy, fast, uses one bowl, and is delectable. They really are thee BEST chocolate brownies. Delicious for a crowd pleasing dessert, a late night snack, or with a cold glass of milk for breakfast.
Large mixing bowl – I use my favorite mixing bowl for these brownies. It’s microwave and dishwasher safe, and just the right size for mixing up a batch of happiness.
9″ x 13″ baking dish that I use almost every day for something. I actually have several, in case one is sporting some leftover chocolate brownies.
Butter
Organic cacao
Eggs
Pure vanilla extract Not imitation.
Unbleached flour
1/2 cup (one cube) butter (I use salted)
1/2 cup cacao
4 eggs
2 cups granulated cane sugar
1 Tbsp pure vanilla extract
1 tsp Sea salt
1 1/2 cups unbleached flour
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp Organic cacao
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
3-4 Tbsp milk
NOTE: The most important thing to remember is to mix the ingredients in, one at a time in the same order. As a result, they will have the same delicious, gooey texture every time.
Let’s do this! In favorite mixing bowl, melt butter, then mix in cacao, stirring well.
Next step, add eggs and mix.
Now add the sugar, vanilla, and salt, one at a time, mixing well between additions.
Last of all, add in flour and mix well.
Next, spread mixture into 9″ x 13″ baking dish sprayed well with Non-stick avocado oil spray. Bake in oven preheated to 350º for 18-22 minutes, depending on your oven and altitude. I used to bake them for 18 minutes at 4,700 feet, but now that I’m at about 6,000 feet I have to bake them 22 minutes, so you will need to adjust accordingly.
While they are baking, mix up the frosting. Melt the butter and stir in the cacao. Next, alternate adding powdered sugar and milk, a little at a time, stirring well in between. Last, stir in vanilla and mix well.
Remove brownies from oven. I like to frost them while they are still warm so that the frosting kind of melts in, so after they have cooled for 5-10 minutes, spread frosting evenly on the brownies. Last step, sprinkle them with a light dusting of powdered sugar so that anyone who eats them is amazed at your culinary esthetic skills. Last of all, cut, serve, and ENJOY!
I hope you love these as much as I do. If you need another yummy treat, you can check out my favorite caramel rolls here. Happy baking!!
